So I was in Salt Lake this past weekend and at one of the stores I shopped in I found a DK Eyewitness Travel book on Spain. I have always been very interested in Spain because that is where my fathers family is from.
I bought this book becasue it has an entire section on the Basque location in Spain. I have looked at this over and over again and have decided I am going to go there in the next couple of years.
Some fun facts about the Basque People:
*the basque people are deep-sea fisherman.
*the speak a language all their own
*the cultrue of the basque people is far different from anyother
in Spain
*It is unknown where the basque culture and people came from
Navarra and La Rioja have my heart and I can't wait to learn more!!!
In Taos New Mexico you can see evidence of our family everywhere. This is a gas station sign in Penasco. This is a favorite land mark of mine there. This station has not been open for many years now but the sign remains and in great condition I might say.
