Tile Finnished in Area's

The tiling is just about done. Today I finnishe grouting the rest of the floors. All I have left is part of the hall and the main bathroom. Corey and I have decided to wait till after the new year to do the other two bathrooms. The project is just too time consuming and we want our house to be somewhat put together for the holidays. But as I promised here are some of the finnished pictures. I have to say it is one of the best things I have done for my house. It looks awesome! So glad I did it!

This is one picture of our livingroom. This is what we had to deal with for 3 weeks while the tile was being layed. As you can see everything from the kitchen, dinning room and livingroom were all shoved into our livingroom. There was literaly a 18 inch walkway to get through. Not cool at all.

Another shot of our livingroom during the remodling. Leah is just hanging out on part of the couch.

The livingroom tile is done and the stove is back in. It was so nice to fire her up once again. We missed the warmth that she gives off. The tile cleans up so nice and is so easy to keep clean. I love it!

This is just a picture of the decrative tile that is throughout the tiled area. It adds just the right touch so as not to make it plan and boring. It looks great.

Here is a shot coming out of the livingroom into the kitchen. You can imagine my excitement to get the stove, dishwasher and fridge back in their places! It is so nice to be able to cook again.
The hall is about finnished and the bathroom toylet will be put back in tomarrow. I hope that you can see the pic's good. The real thing looks tonz better.
Up next is to finnish the backsplash in the kitchen. That will be done by the begining of next week! I can't wait.

More tile prep.

Ok so this past Monday and Tuesday Corey and I finnished up the dinning room and kitchen. We took out the linoleum and sub-floor so we could lay down the backer board. Thought that I would share a few pics showing our progress on those days.

Keenan helps his dad and mom take the linoleum off the floor around the fridge. He was using a butter knife and actually worked a little hole right where he is in the picture. It was really funny.

Aislinn works on getting as much of the paper backing up off the subfloor so Corey and I could get to the screws to pull the sub-floor up.
And I know what you are all wondering...the answer is no, we don't mine using child labor ;P

Corey found that the sub-floor had been layed under the overhanging sheetrock so inorder to get it up easier he had to cut around it to tet to everything better. It was really loud and surprisingly none of the children woke up. (we had put them to bed 2 hours before)

Backer-board is now finnished in the dinning room and kitchen. This picture only shows the dinning room because I started on finishing up the kitchen just after to took this picture.

Hall is done and ready too!
